I was pregnant with my second son Arthur during the Golden Neroli creation process, and inexplicable to me at the time, was so drawn to Neroli, that I convinced Isaac it should be the hero of this softly romantic and achingly beautiful scent. Pregnancy can be an emotionally taxing time and I was craving simple beauty. Golden Neroli transports me to long, sundrenched days spent in quiet villages by the Mediterranean in Summer. Holidays I look back on extremely fondly now, from my Antipodean life, 18,000km away.
It was after launching Golden Neroli and speaking to other expectant women who wanted to bathe in the scent, that I looked into the ingredients and discovered neroli’s long history of use as a hormone balancer. I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of our natural palette but it was the first time I felt an innate connection to the healing power of these rare ingredients.
Golden Neroli will always have a special place in my heart as it does for many of our customers too. It’s a scent that gives so much and the fleeting nature (it’s the shortest lasting of our collection), makes it all the more precious to me.
