Inspired by our Nurture scent, this comforting recipe has been designed to support motherhood with antioxIdant black rice, lactogenic (ie milk-inducing) almonds and floral orange blossom.

(for 2 ppl)
YOU'LL NEED —
160g black rice
400ml coconut milk
1 tbsp orange blossom water
2 tbsp + 1 tsp honey
1 pinch salt
almond butter, to taste
1 blood orange
1 tbsp of white or black sesame seeds

TO MAKE —
Place the black rice in a pan, add the coconut milk and 300ml water and cook until tender, adding more water if necessary.
Meanwhile, prepare the blood orange. Zest half of the orange and reserve (this will be used as a final topping). Cut the orange in segments; set aside. Collect all the juices and place it in a pan with one teaspoon of honey.
Reduce the juice on medium heat until it becomes syrupy (about 2 minutes), then add the orange segments and set aside.
Once the black rice is cooked through and tender, add the remaining honey, the orange blossom water and a pinch of salt. Mix through until well combined and the rice tastes sweet and floral.
Serve in a bowl while still warm and top with almond butter, orange segments and warm syrup, some of the reserved orange zest, sesame seeds and a little more honey drizzle, if needed.
