IN CONVERSATION — EDOARDO MONTI

Italian-born Edoardo Monti is a curator, art collector and founder of Palazzo Monti — a 13th century palace in Brescia, Italy, hosting an internationally recognised artist residency program and cultural centre. Over 250 artists from 50 countries have created and exhibited in this ethereal space, creating connection, community, and providing space and inspiration for artists to develop their practice.

Studying, understanding and appreciating those small details in customs and cultures in order to slightly twist them to achieve a fresh, new approach in life.

My boyfriend Luca Cremona, with whom I share as many identical as opposite opinions on different things in life. By considering myself an expert in nothing and trying to understand his often profoundly different opinions, I learn something new every day.

Laundry Day. I love doing my laundry, it's so relaxing. I am obsessed with the smell of starch when I iron my shirts, and of fabric softener and crispy cotton linens.
